Bill Henderson is one of my favorite vocalists on the planet. Trumpeter Jeremy Pelt introduced me to his music several years ago. I actually first heard him on Charlie Haden’s The Art of the Song album which also featured Shirley Horn. I took this photo of him at the San Jose Jazz Festival in 2009.
