I had taken this photo of the writer Amiri Baraka a few years ago after he performed his great writings with The Howard Wiley Trio @ Yoshi’s SF. I had forgotten about these photos until Baraka’s recent death. We, as photographers, document life and our work becomes a part of history. I am greatly honored that I was there that evening. R.I.P., great warrior!!!
