My Dad, My Hero!

Ritsonat27

My father, Ritson Albert Knox, was born on this day 94 years ago. He served in World War II. He worked a variety of government jobs including letter carrier and retired in data processing. According to my Aunt Peggy, who gave me this photo, my father was 27 when this photo was taken circa 1946 after the war. He was an excellent husband and great dad to my brother and I. His influence on my life, even today, is immeasurable. He loved jazz and other great music, photography, cooking/baking, carpentry, and fishing. I picked up everything from him except his carpentry skills which went to my brother and neither of us fish…LOL!!! One of many awesome projects he created was a bathroom on the second floor of our home on the south side of Chicago. It was previously an extra bedroom and he turned it into a spectacular bathroom. I am proud to be the man I am today because of him.

Happy Birthday, Dad!!!
